I feel towards the White Sox what I imagine Green Bay Packers fans feel towards the Bears (at least, until this past year). A sort of pitiable, detached amusement. Why wouldn't I root for them against the team that has ripped my heart from its chest every year for the past like 8 years?

Guards are going with the Cubs approach I see

So are the Yankees. Getting no hit through 7.

MLB should reseed in the playoffs.  The Sox should be playing Tampa.

I'm in favor of just doing what the NBA does and seeding 1-6 from the start. Wouldn't have changed anything in the NL this year but the AL, TB and NYY would get byes, then it would have been Bos hosting Hou and Cle hosting ChW.

That would be fine as well.  The two best teams in the AL shouldn't be playing each other in the second round.

50+ pitches and not through 2 innings. Miz is seeing what nobody else showed him this year. He won’t be in long.

Man if we get a Padres Dodgers NLCS that will go so damn hard.  Those two teams horsefeathering hate each other

Dodgers can GAGF for buying championships. But the Brewers can doubly GAGF for winning so many horsefeathers games when it makes no sense for them to win so many games. Those two teams in the NLCS will be fun again. It will produce the same series result as last year.

Don’t anyone ever tell me the Brewers aren’t the luckiest team in MLB.

It was a very good game, though.

What happened?

Padres had what would of been a 2 run homer in the 9th to take the lead hit the roof and came down and got caught for the 2nd out.

I do have faith Megill is going to blow a save or two this post season.  He can be had.

I'm thinking that would have been 2 run HR, not so sure because it was such a moon shot.

Yeah, I’ll need to see some batted ball trajectory first. Not saying it wouldn’t have gone out, just that it didn’t seem clear at all either way.
