Pretty crazy that they get good pitching all week and its the bats that played flat.

Pretty lackluster performance all week,  Counsell and coaching staff needed to do better with getting these guys up and ready to play these last 5-6 games and fighting for home field.  They're about to go 1-4 while scoring just 9 runs total.

Good news: Cubs will play postseason games.

I am upset at the fact that I cannot decipher whether they’re tanking on purpose, or they are this dog horsefeathers right now. Counsell literally had a smirk on his face during the post game interview after their first loss today, and I began to think, “I never really see Counsell smile. “ is there something I’m missing? You would think there would be a better sense of urgency with the fact that you could’ve secured a home-field advantage for the first round, but I guess they are quite content being mediocre and qualifying for the playoffs.

The 12 team playoff era is stupid.  We're potentially about to see our first sub-.500 playoff team and they have a decent shot at the ALCS because their potential opponents in the first 2 rounds are 5 and 6 games over .500

Then you have the Cubs and Phillies battling it out to see who can lose the most down the stretch and still make the playoffs.  Too many flawed teams now, go back to 4 teams a league

It's taken a historic season from Pete for this team to even sniff the playoffs. They absolutely suck

They were leaking oil all the way down the stretch. Barely made it across the finish line. Nobody will remember that the Cubs were a playoff team this year. They will remember that a Cub player had one of the best years in baseball history. They will remember PCA.
