Red Sox-Yankees will obviously get the 6pm games, and San Diego will get the late games.  Then the Cubs will either play at 1 or 3pm

Also I'm pretty sure they start the latest games at 8pm CT.  It's usually like 1pm, 3pm, 6pm, 8pm or something like that

So if we play Atlanta it will probably be like

1pm: White Sox/Guardians at Astros

3pm: Cubs at Braves

6pm: Red Sox at Yankees

8pm: Phillies at Padres

 

If we play San Diego (in SD) looking at:

1pm: White Sox/Guardians at Astros

3pm: Phillies at Braves

6pm: Red Sox at Yankees

8pm: Cubs at Padres

 

If we play in Chicago, it might still be 8pm as the other 2 games are hosted by EST teams, so it would either be the Astros series or the Cubs series

Padres are play Arizona and Phillies are at home against the Rays who are probably resting guys. So yea, i think its about 99% sure theyre going to Atlanta

Phillies have been pretty meh as well lately...

Who cares at this point. They blew a 5 game lead in the NL wild card. If they need home field advantage for an edge against tough but beatable Braves or padres teams then they have no shot against the dodgers or Brewers.

Who the horsefeathers would consider losing to Milwaukee in the LDS again a successful season anyways.

It was like a 6.5 or 7 lead at one point if I'm not mistaken.

Glad they clinched, today' loss was super annoying, granted Holmes walking too many batters again was a big contributor.  But the Red Sox had an awful lot of BAIP luck on their sides today.

Yea but being at home needing to hold off Arizona and an outside chance to catch SD might ignite them for a couple games..

We'll see how the Rays approach these games with their pitching and resting regulars

3pm probably  which is better than a late game.  Kids can at least watch.  Reminds me of 84. Getting off school to see the Cubs romp the Padres 13-0 in game 1

The Padres are 49-29 at home and 40-41 on the road.  Obviously anything can happen in a 2-3 game sample and the Cubs did win a series there earlier this year but the road gets a lot tougher

Also the hottest team in baseball with a bullpen better than the Marlins. Not looking good for us right now.

Great bullpen sure means quite a bit.  The whole hottest team in baseball narrative doesn't mean anything.  Time and again we've seen teams limping into the playoffs, find something in the post season and, either win it all or go further than expected.

Right, because AA/AAA success always seamlessly translates to the big leagues.  I to moaned and groaned about Cam Smith after he had a good series vs. the Cubs turns out he may not be a generational talent.  He's young and maybe was rushed to big leagues so, he might end up being good or bad, as he is now.
