Pretty bad effort tonight . They kind of put themselves against it now because Bradley can be really difficult to deal with . Hopefully Boyd is good

They lost this game in the bottom half of the second and top half of the third inning - not scoring any runs with men on first and third no outs, followed by a cluster of the top half of the third. One more at bat, but I think it’s safe to say this one is in the books.

Right now ? More like the last 2 months . The break doesn’t look like it help him . Hopefully they turn it around quickly . Would be really unfortunate to slump before  the deadline. 
 

I know it’s just 1 game , but with how streaky they have been , I worry about a bad streak coming out of the break

The problem is it’s usually 5 runs or bust with a pitching staff that has allowed 4 or more runs in 55/97 games. The lack of a stopper in the rotation will become noticeable when the bats become human with the remaining schedule.

Yeah. It’s not sustainable playing at a 667 clip with a rotation allowing 4.5 runs/game (since Ben browns injury).

Watching the entry gate ceremony,  it actually kinda sad that a big franchise in the Chicago Cubs has only won 3 world series and 1 in 118 years.

How crazy and sad is that when you think about it, 118 years and 1 championship.
