Matt Shaw has 15 homeruns in 332 PAs since last year's ASB.ย  27 dong pace.ย  120 wRC+ over that time before today, so call it 122 right now?

I'm not super confident with him against some tougher righties, but dude is good and lining up for an everydayish OFer job next year IMO.

If he's willing to stick in RF he probably will be an everyday starter next year. One of Happ or Suzuki is probably gone

Hopefully just one, really don't want an Alcantara/Shaw corner OF duo.

More horsefeathers batted ball luck for Nico.

Nah, that was a Jim Edmonds slide.

He deserves it. ย

Looking at boxscores from the boston series, Toronto bullpen is probably cooked. they may have a long man try to go multiple innings this game. Should give the cubs a good chance to add on.

Iโ€™d extend Suzuki and give him LF and Shaw RF.ย

Could be neither if one not willing to take a 1 yr deal, everything depending on the CBA situation and how it affects the offseason/season.ย But if Shaw a guy for the OF with PCA, I could see them adding a 1 yr player to bridge the gap for Hartsorn jump in 2028.

I dont know if they believe in Alcantara enough to be an everyday guy, just feels like they dont care to give him that opportunity when he is up.
