We really think the catcher is just going out there and shooting from the hip? Like there’s a scouting meeting with the pitcher and the catchers and the two catchers come away with two totally separate game plan and then the pitching coach is like ‘well, I guess flip a coin Craig’.

the cubs don’t hit for like a week and the consensus is that the entire league, in unison, made adjustments against them, but also our catchers just go out there with totally different game plans that dramatically impact success.

Now Imanaga on the roster is an atrocity?

I really, really, really hate fly ball pitchers. Not only have the results with Shota been uneven at best, its just an aesthetically offensive brand of pitching. 🤷🏻‍♂️

we're also ignoring the fact that Imanaga is just gonna shake and throw what he wants anyway

Yes, he could do that, but nobody does it every time he disagree with the call.  Sometimes, he might trust the catcher more than himself.  And, yes, the pitch calls are a team work between the pitcher, the catcher and the coaches.  But, I still think the catcher is the most important part of it.

BTW, I haven't watched any of the Cardinals game this year.  How come their record is so good?  I think nobody expected this, right?  Are they going to start losing more, starting today?😁

Im a humane man, but hearing Alex cohen talk makes me want to kick a kitten through and electric fan

Yesterday he started oversharing about the time he ate something like 7 hotdogs while calling a game and he was shitting thunderously that night. He wasn’t that graceful about it either.

I don’t mind Cohen.

The real question is: why is Boog missing so much time? Is he sick? Seems as if he’s missing more games than usual.

Who would have ever guessed Happ would start hitting again. I mean I thought he was done. He never has a bad streak and then gets hot. I just can’t believe he is actually good again.😬

Happ you streaky-but-actually-incredibly consistent SOB

Yes. His consistency is he is streaky. But in the r d he ends up where he always does.

Baseball is such a bizarre sport.  No one hits for almost an entire month and now all the sudden they flipped a switch and are scoring runs again.

Oh that’s grotesque. I’ll just add this to my list of reasons to dislike him.
