This series should be a good test for where the Cubs are. The Braves have played well but haven't faced many good teams; however, it's important to point out that, although many of the teams they've played have below .500 records, that's partly because they haven't beaten the Braves.

Braves are really good, and obviously it's even tougher on the road.  Just try to get 1/3 and get out of there

Holmes and Ritchie are both pretty meh, so these first two games are much more winnable than Thursday.

I’ll be thrilled if they split the next 6.

I wouldn’t go that far. It would be fine to split the next 6, but I would be short of thrilled.

Bats need to all wake up, not just to beat the Braves but I dont want to see them limping into the Sox series and get beat there.

They just played 3 games in the Grand Canyon. I think the bats are fine.

And one was against deGrom. The other they just had an off night hitting with RISP. It happens. It’s baseball.

Mo Balls with the starting Cather nod. Interesting.

Craig said Carson has caught too many games lately and Amaya is unavail to catch today (I couldn't make out why) Also wanted an extra LH hitter against Holmes

I think they said Amaya had some kind of back issue a few days ago.

ozzie albies with the highest ops against the cubs since 1960 (with at least 150 plate appearances) is blowing my mind. i would've guessed mike schmidt.

horsefeathers COHEN AGAIN

The chemistry is way off when it’s Cohen, JD and Elise/Taylor. The back and forth comedic moments when it’s Boog and JD just isn’t there when it’s Cohen and JD.

offense has to score some runs because it seems like Rea is on the verge of getting shelled

I would take 1 run at this point.
