Another Shaw misplay cost the Cubs a run.!

I don't know if he misplayed the ball, did the right thing stepped back then tried to adjust in, the swing fooled him.

Just a BS garbage run there, a more experienced OFer probably catches that ball.

Probably? I’ll be interested to see the catch probability…should have been caught

They might need to consider bringing Alcantara up at some point, Kingery is basically a waste right now, theyre starting Kelly at first over him

I’m really not sure the point of Kingery, but I know it isn’t for him to play first base. Kelly isn’t playing 1st base over Kingery. That said, they should let him go. Not sure they would bring Alcantara up, however. Might be Chas. I think, if/when Alcantara comes up they will want him playing 3 or 4 games a week. Not sure they are a spot for him to do that.

That my point, if he not even a RH option to play first, then theres no point of having him on the roster.

Until these RH bats start doing something,  they need to find an alternative for PCA and Busch, kinda hard to bury them in lineup if noone hitting.

Maybe bring Long up to replace Kingery

This is gonna be a rough 2 week stretch, theyre gonna face big lineups, and if the pitching not on, the struggling bats are gonna bury them.

Then who plays center for PCA….. Shaw? I’m fine with Alcantara coming up, I just don’t think they will do it because of wanting to get him AB. Same problem with Long.
im not too worried about Busch. They can play Kelly there if they have to. And I think he will play most times anyway. PCA might need to be out against lefties. Which is why Chas McCormick makes sense to me. Or Carlson, if they still have him.

shaw’s only redeeming quality (as a player and a person) was his 3b defense. since he never plays there now, he’s just a ****** hitter and ****** outfielder/1b/whatever.

Game is over, biggest question is will PCA make any contact, foul ball, anything?  Against Sanchez?  Not in his wildest dreams...

Im just spitballing names, bottom line is that they may need to readjust the bench a bit.

PCA is an immaculate 0-2 now

Dude is just not going to hit the ball at all today, thinking he needs to sit for a game.

I really expected better pitch recognition from Shaw. This dude just keeps getting himself out like PCA swinging at garbage and getting in bad counts.

They have to find a way to correct these 2.
