Once we get to the 5th round, it's pretty much like throwing darts, so I'm not going to get worked up about the Bears reaching for a guy when nearly everyone else taken after him won't be in the league in five years.

Could 2026 be viewed as a contract year for Dayo Odeyingbo?  I see here - https://overthecap.com/player/dayo-odeyingbo/9518 - the Bears could save 15 million in cap space by cutting him in 2027.  Thinking we'll see whatever' the best of Dayo in 2026, might not be good, could be something.

Dayo wasn’t good before he became a bear not sure how he’ll get good now.

I'm not implicating he'll be good, just suggesting he'll be plenty motivated to be his best whatever that is.

Or, a guy they could have invited to camp after the draft. Poles sucks.

Is this in reference to Elliott? Dane Brugler had him as his #83 overall prospect and CBS Sports had him at #122.

Motivated Dayo is definitely the theme of the offseason

It’s so weird to me how much poles is willing to double and triple down on certain positions to “create competition” (LB, a couple years ago, WR, TE more recently) but nothing on the DLine. Such a bizarre roster building strategy.

So, why is Zxvian Harris available and why didn't a team desperate for DL like the Bears take him?

Must be something bad, even the Ravens and Eagles have stayed away.

Bad draft. After round one the only value pick was the CB. Center and TE will play, but drafted way too early. The rest could have signed with the team as ab undrafted FA. Just a terrible job by Poles.

Thing is, if we found our long term center and top tier safety nobody will call it a bad draft.

I'm looking forward to the experts telling us that the Jets had an A+ draft for the 10th year in a row and for them to win 5 games again

You might be right. And, for that matter, I think the CB will be decent. But they missed guys they should have had at 57 and 69. Could have added either an OL, edge or even LB of value with those picks and still got the other guys.

Hopefully this draft proves me wrong.

My ideal draft (unlike Poles/BJ, I view the DLine as a weakness)

My ideal draft would have been...

Keldric Faulk - DE - LSU (1)

Emmanuel McNeil - Warren - SS - Toledo (2)

Zachariah Branch - WR - Georgia (3a)

Caleb Tiernan - OT - Northwestern (3b)

Connor Lew - C - Auburn (4)

Zane Durant -DT (3tech) - Penn St (5)

Andre Fuller - CB - Toledo (6)
