The sport is just too difficult to officiate at this level and avoid dramatic inconsistencies.  I was pulling for the Bills so I'm probably biased but I still have no idea how review doesn't see firm possession when Cooks hits the ground.  And even if not, is what McMillian was doing to Cooks prior to the ball arriving materially different than what White did?

Ok, being a Bears fan is brutal, but it can’t compare to being a Bill fan, particularly not one who is old enough to remember those 90s Bills teams

Bo Nix broke his ankle on the second to last play of the game and is out for the rest of the season.

So was it the PI pass, or the kneel down? If it was the kneel down holy horsefeathers.

I maintain that Cooks caught that pass and had it all the way to the ground.  Something’s very, very wrong when that becomes an INT. And something’s wrong when lollipops are a valid strategy.  Packers are getting 2 or 3 extra wins every season off that slop.

He didn't maintain control of the ball throughout the process of going to the ground.

Watching that replay it looked to me that the ball was still moving when the broncos player took it away.

I was watching at a restaurant without any sound, but it definitely looked like an INT to me.  I didn't even realize there was any question about it.

Agreed. I’d have to watch it again but the couple views I saw, if he goes to the ground the same way and the ball just pops out and hits the ground, it’s an incomplete pass. Therefore it can’t be a completed catch and down by contract.

I watched that thing multiple times.  I’m not changing my position.  That’s a catch.

Nix walked off, did a post game interview, and walked to the locker room on a busted ankle?

Adrenalin is a helluva drug

Damn that’s crazy.  I thought people were joking.  He wasn’t even wincing on the interview.

This is the best explanation. If it happened to the Bears it’d be absolutely soul crushing and I admittedly would have a hard time coming around to it being the right call. As a neutral observer this is the logic that brings it home for me.

What?

Didn't see any sign of pain until post-game shots of him on the bench. He seemed fine in his interview
