Cardinals(McGreevy) vs Cubs(Taillon)

The last few days the cardinals have shown me what a low class organization they are. Between hitting PCA on the knee after he homered and now walking Busch for no reason, while the manager was smirking, I have no respect for them.

I know you know I am not. 😅 I just wasn’t someone who hated the Cardinals. No more than any other team, anyway. I know they had some code and had “the Cardinal way” and always talked about how great their fans were. But I didn’t hate them. After this series I do.

I get trying to win the game and everything but that was a loser move by Marmol, you aren’t in a playoff race, this game didn’t mean anything to St Louis. That kinda thing tends to come around the other way.

God, they've given me so many reasons to hate them in the last 20 years I've honestly lost count. Floored that this is what it took for you.

Were you also putting some respect on Yadi Molina as a potential manager earlier this year? Not rubbing it in, just tying things together

When Steve Kline wished that Mark Prior would take a line drive off the head and never pitch again, that was when I lost ALL respect for that trash organization.

And when it does, the Cards will moan about the unwritten rules again, without an inkling of self-awareness. And baseball culture at large will support them. Again.

Didn't realize dansby had that many steals, so yea having 3 guys reach that mark is cool, especially more cause the cubs aren't usually a base stealing team through the years

The most recent one for me, before this, was when Happ clipped Willy with his backswing and Mikolas threw not one but two pitches at Happ.

I had to look it up, I was shocked Soriano was not on the list. He had 19 steals twice as a Cub.

They might want to start most of the regulars and pull some halfway since there's a day off on Mon just to keep guys 100% sharp.  Seiya and Tucker 100% will start and one of Happ/PCA (probably PCA?).  Castro probably starts for Swanson, Nico to SS.  Busch might sit, Shaw probably starts.

“No way they hit PCA intentionally, it was a 90 mph cutter.” To be fair though, PCA crowded the plate a bit and it was almost a strike on stat cast.
