I just can’t remember ever being less excited about a Cubs playoff team. Maybe they’ll get it together but we’ve been waiting for it since July

Such an unenjoyable team to watch. Idc what anyone says, to go into Cincinnati and lose all 4 games is downright pathetic. This team will get swept in the playoffs.

Yea this team has been lucky to the fact that outside of the 3 division leaders, the rest of the NL hasn't been all that great and they've been able to coast the last 2 months.

Padres Mets Reds DBacks have all been playing on same level as Cubs and not getting hot enough to overtake them.

Forget about Suzuki making any kind of an impact ever again.  Dude couldn't get a hit in tee-ball.

What the horsefeathers happened to him? He’s been streaky in the past but he has way more than enough of a track record to think he’s this bad

I'd seriously consider forgoing him for the playoffs, go with Ballesteros at DH.  He brings nothing except for a BB now and then.

Would Counsell let Ballesteros DH in the playoffs, at least against righties?

If pays attention to the numbers, yes.  Suzuki can barely put the ball in play at least, Ballesteros will make consistent contact and put the ball in play.

They really want to go back to Sandiego. It’s an awesome city, I don’t blame them.

It wouldn’t be terrible outcome . Rickets wouldn’t pocket any playoff revenue money .

I feel the exact same way - just very little life; especially offensively. Pitching had a couple let down games, but their bats is what will get them bounced from the first round of the postseason. Yes, I understand the Padres and Mets are struggling too, but this Cubs team is very inefficient to say the least. It wouldn’t be shocking to see them bounced first round.
