Just out of curiosity I wonder who starts tonight for the Brewers?  Their starting pitcher situation is only slightly better than the Cubs in that have one, reliable TOR starter compared to none.  Dodgers have Snell today, honestly all Brewers hate aside, from just a baseball stand point, I can't even squint and see how the Brewers have a chance.

Yeah, regardless of who won on Saturday I was expecting the NLCS to be a slaughter.  The Dodgers have too much pitching depth and too many good hitters in comparison to either the Cubs or Brewers for it to be much of a contest.

They swept them in 6 games and 4 times held them to 2 runs or less. To say they dont have a chance is frankly subjective and ridiculous.

Apparently you haven't looked at the Dodgers roster for those games vs. what they're sending out in the NLCS.  The Brewers got the almost split squad version in the regular season.

They didn't face Snell, they got Yamamoto once, Sheehan (1) and Glasnow (2) are in the Dodgers bullpen.  Other two starts went to Kershaw, who, they may not see this series.  Save for Kershaw the remainder of Dodgers' staff features velocity and Brewers struggle with velocity.  Look at the Brewers - Peralta and ? - their pitching situation isn't all that better than the Cubs.  Haven't looked but, with off days, you get Peralta two starts?  What about potentially five other games?  Also, I believe someone mentioned FanGraphs gave both the Cubs and Brewers a 30% chance vs. Dodgers, appears others who know a lot more about baseball than me don't give them much of a chance either.  Moreover, when the Brewers weren't facing Boyd on short rest or struggling/gassed Shota they scored 6 runs.  Think that's going to improve against the step up in pitching that the Dodgers represent?

I was good with the Brewers winning the WS for two reasons: 1. I know some good people who are loyal Brewers fans and 2. It subsequently pressures the Cubs to raise expectations in 2026. Not after that pathetic “L” flag nonsense, though. Proof that you can win and still be classless losers.

I didn't understand that, you've just won a playoff series.  Regardless or whether you're trolling the Cubs or not why would you want to take a picture with flag containing a big L?

It really was a prime display of TDE. Basically, an admission they suffer from the same little brother inferiority complex their fans do. If the Cubs had done that, I'd have been embarrassed.

That, you just get the sense that the Dodgers were just like an NBA team sleepwalking through the regular season and waiting to turn it on when the games count.

PTR's message received if the Brewers win: they should spend less money and let their stars walk.

Celebrating an opponent’s loss is always a bad look.

It's always a bad look and often has the opposite of the intended effect. If you really want to humiliate your opponent, you act like they're irrelevant, not like they live in your head full time.

It's like when an ex tells anybody who will listen about how over you they are.

Celebrate that we're in their heads even when they should be celebrating. If you're mad, they win

Brewers going with a bull pen game again today, sooner or later that's going to blow up in their faces.  Ohtani and Freeman were relatively quiet with the bats against better pitching from the Phillies.  That's probably not going to continue against a step down in pitching from the Brewers.

Damnn, did not think Seattle would win this series let alone win the first two in Toronto

I didn't think Seattle would win the first two for sure.
