Ok, so we've established that the Cubs have a problem with pitchers with ERAs in the high 4's.... let's try something new? Can they deal with pitchers with ERAs in the high 5's in the best hitters ballpark in the league? 

Frankly, I'm not counting on it, but I can't wait to find out

Reminder that we scored 8 runs against them total back in May or whatever. Far more favorable conditions for this series but we just got swept and scored 8 runs against the horsefeathers Giants so...

I said a 5-4 road trip would be acceptable.  It's well within our sights.  Although I thought it wouldn't start with a sweep then get swept

 Turnbull released today, Taillon on the DL ,Boyd Struggling,  Birdsell out for the year, Horton needing rest, Palencia looking tired. The Cubs pitching depth will be put to the test .

Turnbull doesn’t matter now or in the future. Birdsell doesn’t matter now. Taillon said he probably could have started this game, just giving himself a little more rest to make sure he doesn’t hurt himself further. I do worry about Palencia. Hopefully they can get Horton and Boyd some rest. They are pretty much secure in getting either 4th or 5th team in. So they can mix and match some pitchers now to try having everyone healthy for the playoffs.

Idk how Horton's FB/GB ratio is but I am a little worried about him going into Coors.

And on the flip side, if a trip to Coors can't boost the offense then what are we doing here?

6-3 was my low end, figured they should have at least taken 2 of 3 from each team. 

They better sweep the Rockies, there's ZERO reasons not to be able to put up 6+ in all 3 games with the SP theyre gonna face.

We should feel fortunate to have such a big lead on the WC standings to allow us to be conservative. (Eg Taillon)
