Where are you getting this from

From their inability to blow up terrible pitchers consistently

You mean they shouldn’t have sent Kelly because he is slow. Interesting. Friday the guy who scored on the shallow sac fly was Kelly. He is slow. If you have a better chance to score the run then the next runner does to get a hit the right play is to send. Unfortunately that means a guy gets thrown out 50-60% of the time and we have these discussions.

And like I said in other messages, that depth with that runner is not a smart send.  Just because it made it does not make it the right move.  Good result on a bad process.  Doesn’t mean it was smart.

That's what I keep saying, Cassie or Alcantara may struggle.  At least they're healthy and, you never know, one of them might buck the trend and give the Cubs a hot week or two.

Maybe we just put them in a Brewers uniform?

Happ makes nice sliding catches and has an accurate arm but his defense in LF has always been meh otherwise to me.

You can bet that the dipshit Cowser would have pulled that catch out of his ass.

Well at least you're consistent. Consistently incorrect.

How do you feel about going for it on 4th down?

Really glad we have Collin Rea starting games for us.

If the Cubs weren't slumping so badly a QS or thereabouts from Rea would be enough.  Rea' never going to shut anyone down, right now the Cubs need shutouts to win.

Bad results from a good process doesn’t make it a wrong decision either. What is Castro batting average? 250? So maybe add a little more to factor in other ways the runner can score with Castro up. So maybe 30% chance. So if the 3rd base coach thinks the odds of scoring on that play are greater than 30% he send the runner. Unfortunately what happens is 50-60% of the time the guy gets thrown thrown out and the complains come. 40% chance of scoring is better than a 30% chance of scoring, therefore the process of sending a guy is correct.

It’s quite hilarious how you say some of us are letting bad results complaints about good processes, yet your genius is literally letting a good result justify a bad process.  Balm was super shallow yesterday with an incredibly slow runner.  Hey got lucky.  Then today on a ball absolutely scorched, the same slow runner tries to take multiple bases and is out.  Because it was a DUMB decision.  BOTH TIMES.  The ends do NOT justify the means.  Love being aggressive.  Dont love making stupid decisions.

Yes, just make up numbers and spout them as facts.  The chance of him scoring either time was not good.  The process of both decisions were bad.  Not a smart send.

He’s been very good over his career but this season in particular he’s shown some loss of mobility in the field and on the base paths.
