It's not even a money thing. They are just a better organization, it's that simple.

Lost their top baseball man to the Mets and lost Counsell to the Cubs and they didn't skip a beat....lost their best player to the Giants in the off-season and are somehow better.

It's horsefeathers sickening but it's true, it's a better organization top to bottom.

BUT....BUT.....'they will lose early in the playoffs again, so it's all GOOD!!"

I am still pissed at Bud Selig for being the Brewers to the NL.

I'm just tired of all things Wisconsin seeming having control over all thing Chicago.

Ever since Giannis shoved Dunleavy and the Cubs surged ahead of the Brewers to win the 2017 NL Central its been all Wisconsin over Chicago to the point where kicking a game winning field goal in a meaningless game to improve to 5-12 is a high point for Chicago over Milwaukee the last 7 years or so.

No. First we’ve got to see if 4th, 3rd, 2nd, starter or opener are more his style.

Yea, I guess we shouldn't expect TR to just eat 5-6:mil that still owed to him 🙄

Yes this sucks but I still think if Hoyer brings in the expected upgrades, the Cubs will win the Division.  There's still that 5 game series in Chicago against the Brewers in mid August, and everything will look a whole lot better for the Cubs after that series.

Sure this was already mentioned but the great news is Porter Hodge gave up 4 ER in 0.1 IP at Iowa.

He sucks too.

Good thing i stopped watching the game in the 3rd.

Crazy how the Cubs continue to get lapped by a team that has a third of its payroll. Its almost as if its an issue with the FO….

What happened?

Not sure if it’s been answered yet, he hit the baseball right onto his leg and exited the game.

Don't get your hopes up.  It's more likely the Cubs play short handed for a week while Happ avoids an IL stint.

Yep, I’d love that. Give the prospect a chance.
