Is there ever a reason to question why Brujan is pinch hit for???

No,  wondering cause he was slow getting up the inning before when he dove for ball and kinda weird to PH for him with Turner leading off an inning in the 7th.

That's 30 runs in 26 innings of this series by this gas can of a staff. Can't remember a worse 3 game series by a Cub pitching staff....ever. It's all time record kinda bad no matter what the cheerleaders in the booth are saying right now.

But let’s be clear, CC was not managing to win this game. Leaving Rea in to start the 6th inning was the clear indicator.

I don’t agree with leaving Rea in, but I don’t think that was Counsell giving up. Putting Pearson is was. But it has always been said Craig doesn’t chase wins. He wasn’t going to use a pen arm he likes to use in high leverage in a game they were losing by 3 runs.

How about 41 runs through 27 inning from August 11-13 2021. There’s been worse.

Waited all season for the wind to start blowing out at Wrigley, now I’m hoping the wind blows in next series.

Im guessing the ball will be flying in STL too

It says a lot about Pearson that the manager will use him to “save the better bullpen arms”. That’s a polite way of saying he sucks.

I hope we go down to St. Louis and prove how much better of a team we are for obvious reasons, but also to at least temporarily shut up the half of this board who hate this team

That's 10 RBI's and 4 HR for two of the worst hitters the Cubs have faced this year.  Well, every scrub has a day or series now and then.  Except, of course, Cubs' scrubs, who shockingly, perform like scrubs.  Hell, did Mastrobuoni even have 3 hits in a one month period as a Cub?

Our backup catcher was the best hitter in baseball for like 6 weeks dude

2 things: seen and been to plenty of games at Wrigley with the wind blowing out but I've never personally witnessed pitching as bad as this weekend....deal with it. Secondly, people come onto sports message boards to vent and make simple observations, not because they 'hate' the team. Sorry your butt hurt that our team sucks the last week or so. Hope life (and the Cubs) get better for you. Buck up buttercup.

Gotta at least split there, stay at least 5 better in the loss column
