I agree that Berti and Brujan are redundant. Get rid of one of them and get a right handed hitting outfielder who can play center.

I can't see them bringing in a 5th outfielder or preferring one over the positional versatility of Bruján whether we agree with it or not.

What surrender lineup are we complaining about here ? Yes not having PCA sucks , but he has played everyday so far . Today’s matchup seems like the perfect day to do it Busch sucks againts lefties . so starting Turner is the standard move here . Turner has been better the last month or so .

My biggest concern is Brujan defensively at CF . They need a true CF backup option , , even if it is an all glove player .

Hopefully they make changes to the bench at the deadline . Need a a CF and a 3B that can get a hit every now and then . If it means Berti / Brujan getting cut , won’t miss any of them .

Tauchman would be an excellent addition and really cheap.  He could play any OF position and is great at getting on base as a PH.

Except he is left handed. I would think they would want a right handed bat for PCA every once in a while. But maybe not. Yes he is a good bench player.

I was thinking a guy who could play CF and 1B would be ideal.

Can't think of many guys that can do that, let alone be available

Who do you have in mind?

Edit: oh, you mean 2 separate players.  Not someone that can play both , ala Bellinger

Something's going to have to give at some point on this whole "Brown's peripherals are outstanding while his actual results are largely bad" trend

I know you all hate Rea, but Brown has to be the one who goes away when Shota comes back

Hopefully Assad can come back after the all star break and they both go to the bullpen

Of course, Luzardo coming struggling looks unhittable, Brown coming in hot, may not even get 5 IP out of him.  At least the Cubs got a hit off Luzardo, I sincerely doubt they'll come remotely close to scoring a run.

Eh, I really think this is a mental thing in the first inning.  Go with an opener for the next couple turns and see if that makes a difference.

It was affirming the Tauchman reference, with a slight nod to no longer having Bellinger around. not that I wanted to keep him at that pricetag, very happy with Tucker, thank you.

Tauchman has never played 1B in the majors. Maybe he could, but fair that Peanut didn’t pick up what you were putting down.

I had to look that one up to believe you. I could've sworn he did multiple times just last year. You are, obviously, correct and I am foolish.

When I think of 1B and CF I definitely immediately think of Cody and that part I thought was clear.
