Two of those are on Merryweathers line.

Yep, you’re correct. Only the base runners that were already on base, that ended up scoring, are charged to Shota.

It was also 5.2 innings, not 6.2.

Mets, White Sox, Marlins, Rockies, Nats: These are the next five teams this spot in the rotation would face if Shota misses time.

Even if it cramps id have him miss the Mets start but throw bullpen just to give it extra rest and attention. Can't have this be a thing for him now like it was with Hamels

I’m not what I was 25 years ago, but I can still sit 68-72 on my 4 seamer.

I think he is going to miss a lot more than the Mets. But if, somehow, it is only cramps again, why skip him? He will get an extra day because the Cubs are off on Thursday. But honestly, I doubt it is just cramps. I think he will be out a bit.

Get through this week (next 6 games) no worse then 3 and 3 versus the Giants and Mets, the next 12 after should be really easy if they continue to play like they have been against the tougher teams.

Was really hoping to sweep these pissant fucks, nevertheless, 4-2, winning both series on road vs. the NL Central is pretty damn good.  Even though the Brewers got this one I don't believe they'll be a threat, the Reds are the threat.

Ok , so now that I see the next turn in the rotation would be the Mets in NY , I don’t think Horton is coming up for that one .

Yep, 2 of 3 from each central team on the road is good. But I felt better with the Pirates seeies win than I do with this one. I like winning that last game.

He obviously wasn't 100% ready to go after his last start if he cramped up again the first time he had to really run on it during game.

So, if it is cramp, just give him the extra rest, test it out in 5 days when he does bullpen and go from there.

Maybe feed him potato chips during the games now

Agreed.  I truly think from what I saw that we’re looking at 6 weeks to be safe.  I’m excited to see Cade, but counting on him to be able to replicate Shota or Steele is foolish.   Hopefully with the schedule getting a bit easier Cade (or the offense) can hold down the fort until Shota is back.

Welp left hamstring strain for Shota. Really really testing our pitching depth with our top 2 starters out and not being particularly imposing to begin with.

Which is code for “it ain’t cramps, it’s worse, and we got no clue yet until we do diagnostic imaging”……..

Yep, Time for Hoyer to put his big boy pants on and try to get a deal done for a SP.

The negative now is that it may cost him more quality prospect wise.

OR

Need to hope Horton comes up and is that special right away 🤷‍♂️

My second screw up in one post. And do I stop posting out of embarrassment? No! I keep making myself look even more stupid.
