I'm loving what we're seeing from Taillon today.  He has 15 whiffs through 4 innings, which already ties his high as a Cub.  I love the new changeup, the curve looks like it has some extra bite, and like mentioned earlier the velo is not all the way back but is up from last year.

This is very similar to the series we had in Oakland at the start of the 2023 season.  We won those games 14-1, 4-0, 12-2.  The +27 RD boost from that series kept us below our pythag record the rest of the season.  Currently our RD for this series is +26.

5-4 over the first 9 while having to play the dodgers in Japan and 4 against a very good Arizona team at home is a good thing .  

Good signs from Taillon today . Velo was up and mixing in the change up was good .

One horrendous inning away from a 6-1 road trip. Still happy with 5-2. Now they need to continue to hit at Wrigley.
