Estimated time of pick 10 is 8:30 CT if you care about that sort of thing because it's the first day of t-ball and even though it's been pouring rain the past few days Thursday looks beautiful.

Those infields have to be trash right now though...

I have no idea what the Bears are going to do tomorrow. Draft at #10, could be a plethora of possibilities? Trade down, trade up? That's what makes this draft so intriguing. Probably could be said for most teams outside the top 5.

A) They have an OT they like that they are hoping will be available at 10. Braxton is going to get paid next year, and more than likely not by the Bears. With the money they forked out this winter to secure the interior line, they probably need a guy who can challenge/beat out Braxton at LT and then be ready to take over in 2026. Getting a 5th year option rookie at LT would be ideal. Chances are good they won't be picking this high again for awhile.

B) They go BPA of the skill position players (one that slips down to 10) because they feel there is a LT possibility in the second round that is better than a JAG.

C) One of the premium talents in the top 5-6 slides to 10 and they grab him.

D) Trade down because the offer is too good to pass up.

To me, you have to get a starting caliber LT in this draft.

Who knows if the taking heads have any idea what they're talking about but the Bears are apparently absolutely in love with Jeanty and hoping that one of him, Warren or Membou are there. There was even talk that they were infatuated enough with Jeanty to move up for him which I would kind of hate.

Do not believe trading up is realistic.  I do believe if one of Jeanty, Warren, Membou or Campbell is there the Bears will make a pick at 10 otherwise, trade down.

If mocks are to believed, it's very unlikely Jeanty  is around at #10 and most don't have Warren making it either.

Nfl.com- Kelvin Banks

CBS- Kelvin Banks

PFF- Armand Membou

SI- Kelvin Banks

Yahoo- Kelvin Banks

Walter Football- Tyler Warren

Tankathon- Tyler Warren

I'd be so underwhelmed by Banks. If none of Jeanty, Warren or Membou are there then just trade back.

I'm very much in favor of a trade back option but unless another team really has a specific target in mind, it may be pretty tough to do because of the way this draft board looks.  I'd love to drop back to 16-20 and still get a very good player and pick up a 3rd round pick this year because there's likely to be some back of the first round graded players still on the board based on what all the experts are saying.

The Banks surge is strong right now and they just had a private workout with him. My official prediction at this point is no trade down opportunity presents itself, the usual suspects are off the board and Kelvin Banks or Josh Conerly Jr. is the pick at 10.

If one of Jeanty, Graham, Campbell or Warren is there at 10, I'd be ecstatic and hope the Bears take them.

If not, then it gets interesting.

However, that also means I hope Sanders goes top 10 in some panic move so those 4 real prospects slide a bit.

EDIT: For example, this mock draft actually happening in the top 10 would frustrate the Bear fan in me: https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6298225/2025/04/23/nfl-mock-draft-2025-shedeur-sanders/

I'm rooting for panic as well.  I've seen some talk of teams getting desperate and a scenario where Ward, Sanders, Dart and Shough all come off the board before the Bears pick.  That's the dream scenario because then you obviously have some really good players to choose from and/or the 10th pick becomes very juicy trade bait.

Give me Jeanty or Hampton in the first tomorrow night. I don't care about the whole "don't draft RB's in the first rd" thing, I'm looking at who gives the Bears a player who can and will play early and often.

F’in F that disease.  RIP to a great Bear and a completely authentic guy.  I’m glad to say I had the chance to briefly meet Steve at training camp years ago.  Exactly the same person with or without the cameras.  Bear down brother.

I met him at a bar during Cutler's first preseason game as a Bear. He acted like some random guy you would strike up a conversation with. He told some crazy stories about 85. He said Jim McMahon was an ass at times but loved him like a brother.  He said he only played in Green Bay his final season to collect a paycheck  not sure if that was true but it was funny. RiP

Internet running wild with the rumor the Bears have a deal with the Patriots to move up and get Jeanty for #10, #41 and a 2026 3rd

I do not mind trading up for Jeanty. I do mind if Poles has to overpay to get it done. That is not a gross overpay but still an overpay.

Bears Now suggested something like 10 and 41 to Jax for 5 and a 4th rd pick. I would be cool with something like that.

Yeah why would you deal up to the Patriots when you inly have to deal up to Jacksonville? Unless you are worried about another team jumping up?

Wasn't that from a satire account?

Possible,  I don't really browse Twitter, but when I saw multiple people run with it I figured there was some validity.

From what Poles has said I do not believe trading up is on the table.  If Jeanty' gone before #10, I think they'll go OL or trade down into the first round and go Hampton then OL with the next pick.

I have family with the disease and it's heartbreaking on all

I heard it not as a rumor but as a mock draft on a goofy humor first football podcast.

I wouldn’t hate getting him but would hate trading up. I’d trade up for Hunter or Carter, probably not anybody else.
