Uh, yeah. Those are two returning 10 win back to back division champs.

Chicago has averaged 5 wins per season for three years running and added exactly nobody this offseason. Their entire hopes rest on a new head coach/play caller and a second year qb ascending into his expected/hoped for ability.

I can see not bring into the DL signings, but are you down on the 3 veteran OL they brought in?

I think two of three will be nice additions but they’re all old and on the downside and left tackle is a messy situation

hopefully the pass blocking is better but a lot of the sack issues have been qb induced

but I don’t think any of them justify claiming this roster is above average

Oh, 100% agree on the last part. I’m a bit higher on the OL than you are, but 15 feels about right given the complete lack of pass rush and uncertainty surrounding Caleb and much of the skill position group. Assuming health and that Ben Johnson and this coaching staff is a real step up from Eberflus & co., there’s a path to the playoffs there.

There was a huge need for pass protection, AND for Caleb to trust the pass protection. I think they got both with the guys they signed. I also think the backups will be a lot better than last year if someone needs to miss some time. Couple the pass protection with much better coaching and play calling, and I believe they have the makings of a 10-12 win team. A lot still needs to go right. I think I'm going to like Dennis Allen's defensive scheme better than Eberflus' as well.

Nobody is going to respect the Bears until they give a reason to during the regular season. And everyone is right to be skeptical. The Bears are constantly disappointing and rarely live up to our hopes and dreams. And that’s fine, who cares.

i think they’ll be significantly better this year but I don’t begrudge a single fan or commentator who doesn’t see it. Why should they?

Green Bay fans need abuse, too.

Sounds like Caleb and the offense has looked bad early on. Caleb is having trouble completing…passes.

To be expected (the offensive struggles at this point) when installing a new offense and working out the kinks.  Obviously not on remotely the same scale, but we installed a new offense my senior year for a summer basketball camp right before it started.  I think we scored like 12 points or something ridiculous like that in the first game we played (20 minute running clock for each half, so quick games but that was still awful) and got killed.  We played the same team 2 days later and beat them while scoring over 40 because we were all more comfortable with what we were doing after repetition at full speed.  It's going to take some time for everyone to be in rhythm.

Well they installed the offense in May and have emphasized the need for high completion percentages so if he’s having trouble, that’s not good

I believe Caleb' going to cook this season, he'll be significantly better.  But, because we're Bears fans and can't have anything immediately good, it's going to be a super slow progression to Caleb and the offensive taking off.  Which means a plethora of early negativity around Caleb and the Bears - great.

definitely something to monitor but not something I'm going to panic about until I need to.

Besides, its sounds like Bagent is looking good! /s

Not surprised at all about offensive struggles early on in training camp. If they're still problems at the end of training camp and into the preseason I'll be maybe 1% worried but theres really no way to know anything until the season starts.

I would think it would be more concerning if Caleb is struggling and Bagent isn't.

Sounds like the Bears offense is really cooking today, with the biggest praise for......... Luther Burden III 👀

No idea who this is but would t be the first time we traded a TE to Dallas

I sure most teams have been in contact with the Cowboys. With that said, Jerry is one petty man. He will keep Micah under his thumb to the very end, just to spite Micah and his agent.
