Pretty decent chance this is Taillon’s last start as a Cub.  He's slated to go again Monday night but if a move gets made for him I imagine it's before then.

This Cubs team is right up there with 2004 as one of the more frustrating I can remember. Many of the same issues too.

Looks like it might rain for the next 3 hours now. Might be a 1- 1.5 hour window to get in some of the game, but will likely be delayed again later. So they may just wash it out.

Right, I would imagine we'll start seeing some trades for SP come this weekend as teams would want to have that extra start from traded pitcher if their spot comes up before the deadline.

Nothing like swinging at a 3-0 count and hitting a weak ass pop up.

dont mind it with no one on and 2 outs in a scoreless game but horsefeathers result

The guy with the 6.51 K/9 has struck out 6 through 4, because of course he has.

With the zone this ump is calling it's no wonder.

Seiya, as always, getting the worst of it.

I know that was a ball and he absolutely should not have swung but ultimately another strikeout looking with RISP for Seiya.  Not his fault this time though.

That said while he was hitting I was wondering if pitchers actually dont mind getting behind in the count when facing Seiya in run producing spots.  Get him thinking walk and he gets more passive and you might end up catching him looking.
