I feel like the Cubs “coming up just short” of making the postseason last year in terms of being buyers vs sellers this year doesn’t exactly tell the full story of finishing the year 7-15. Which is the sort of streak/s this team has been going through since May.

I expect the Cubs to score twenty tomorrow.

Weird, I expect them to lose another series to a bad team because that's what they do.

Are we about to see a Drew Smyly start if Hendricks is “injured”?

Seems like a legitimate (non-quote) injury, even if it's just more of a small, nagging thing.  Counsell said Hendricks' back had flared up yesterday and they thought it was better today, but he wasn't able to pitch through it.  It may be a convenient excuse for poor performance, but an injury nonetheless.

We knew the obligatory Hendricks start loss was coming, just thought the Cubs might make it competitive against a terrible Angels  team.  There's still a pretty good chance a series win which is a good thing.

Hunter Bigge come on up..

Cubs bringing him up

Most likely Hendricks going on IL

Time to just let all these kids play for next season

But they have to clear a spot on the 40 man. Wonder who either goes to the 60 day IL or is DFA’ed. If I had to guess I would say Brewer dfa. I don’t think anyone will be moved to the 60 day, assuming Almonte is already on it.

Yeah especially with that double-header looming next Saturday they would not have fake an SP injury right now.
