Hopefully they can trade Neris and Smyly and n the next couple of hours . Philly looking for a CF . Would love to move Bellinger , but that ain’t happening .

Think they are making a mistake in not moving Taillon . I think he is an upper 3 ‘s low 4 ‘s era  the next 2 years making 17 per . Not terrible but that money could be better used elsewhere .

Disagree on Taillon. I would be ok if they moved him provided they then signed someone as good or better. But I don’t have a problem with him at his salary. My issue with trading him is I don’t trust the Cubs to use that money to add more talent.

I'm only moving Taillon for an overpay to be honest. He's not off limits but i'm listening pretty closely

What's MJ Melendez's deal? I've read he was a solid catcher but obviously wasn't going to play there with Salvy Perez in the way. He hasn't hit this year but his bat would play better at catcher for sure.

I'm concerned he's caught only 10 games in about 2 years

From what I remember, the deals right up to the deadline are usually smaller ones, so I wonder if Crochet/Skubal are both staying put.

I believe Nomar was the last big one that was announced right after the deadline passed.

what a day that was on NSBB. I think I was refreshing my browser every 10 seconds. Turns out he was brittle from all the roids.

Truth be told, I'm not even 100% sure I'd move him for what Baltimore gave up for Rogers and I don't suspect he'd pull even that much.

Royals are getting Lucas Erceg from the A's and Paul DeJong from the White Sox. Not the biggest moves but it's fun to see them going for it.

I would LOVE to have Erceg

Yep it's exciting. The new ownership is actually making an effort to build a competitive team plus they've been trying to push a downtown stadium. Fielding a solid product along with a star like BWJr will help with that.

I hope they keep a similar look to Kaufmann if they get that stadium. I think Kaufmann is a cool looking stadium. Not sure how fan friendly it is but it looks neat

It's a nice stadium and it's fan friendly in terms of a large parking lot/tailgating. They're going to lose that aspect, which is big to KC folks. The area around is a shithole though and there's nothing to do outside of the stadiums. But the lease is up in 2030 and ownership has already announced they won't be renewing. It'll be downtown (The mockups have been nice) or they'll move to the Kansas side near the Legends area.

A little over 90 minutes left and Flaherty is still a Tiger. That is pretty shocking. They did this last year with Erod and ended up not moving him at all.

Yeah, took the family to Kaufmann Saturday and had a pleasant experience.  The 10 square miles of concrete isn't my bag,  though.

Maybe I'm in the minority or maybe there's zero market for them but it feels like a waste to hold onto Smyly and Neris (and Jorge Lopez if anyone can buy his ERA this year). Still 90 minutes left.
