I'm done with Mooney but it has less to do with the Hail Mary drop (which is a bit of an insult to injury - that's just an insanely hard thing to do with all the bodies flying around) - and more the whole body of work this season. Lollygagging routes, not coming back to the ball, drops, weak blocking. I dunno what it is, but it's not working this year.

I know St. Brown isn't all that great but, his effort and run blocking does make a difference and it's missed.

Cutting off routes(which he did yesterday) and not coming back to the ball(which he also did yesterday) are things he's done repeatedly this year. It's like he's running a distraction route and he's surprised when the ball actually comes his way.

Aren't these the actions of a guy who's not mentally or physically invested?

I’ve seen about 4-5 Bears twitter guys comment on how bad the Bears offensive game film is from yesterday.  Doesn’t surprise me at all, just funny how many people went out of their way to comment on how awful it is.

Yeah, he's been checked out for a while now.

Truly bizarre given his contract situation.

I mean, shouldn't we, who watched the game, feel the same way? Fields had <50% completion percentage and under 150 yards net passing. The running game was nonexistent, and whenever they tried to run the ball it got blown up in the backfield. It was a disaster. They punted on their first 4 possessions. We were 4 of 18 on 3rd down.

None of this is acceptable for a pro team, even facing the best defense in the league.

Jenkins getting hurt had a ripple effect, lost him early.  had he not been hurt we may have seen a more effective running game.  That's not to excuse the terrible, predictable, non-aggressive game plan of Getsy and Fields' poor play.

There were no positives to take from the offensive performance. Yeah, Fields probably had a 100 yards of drops and 2 INTs that weren't his fault, but he still didn't do enough to sustain any drives and is it just me or did he completely ignore the middle of the field inside of 15 yards? No slants or short crossing routes that I recall. The Oline had their worst game since early this year, the WR/RB/FB blocking was awful, like awful awful. The running game was the equivalent of taking a knee and yet Getsy decided over and over that he would try a pitch or a sweep that would inevitably end up in a 3 or 4 yard loss. Putting them in 2nd and 10+situations more or less dooming the drive.

Heard Kurt Warner question the same thing about the lack using of a middle passing game and using the middle of the field.  Screw the Cleveland defense, it was more about the Bears choosing to be non-aggressive and predictable.  Come the playoffs someone is going to go after Cleveland and kick the horsefeathers out of them.

There have been games Cleveland D has looked like ass. 3 points by the offense is not going to inspire hope that this team in the next few years is going to win the SB with Justin Fields(this is the main reason for moving on)

Maybe I have a different definition of what an aggressive game plan looks like but I do remember the Bears coming out and taking deep shots on basically every early drive in the game. To me, a less aggressive and more passive gameplan would have involved more running the ball (and I'm actually glad they didn't, because they were awful at running the ball)
