the infrastructure of a good defense is there, i think that's obvious despite flacco putting up a bunch of yards

i never expected the defense to keep answering the bell in the 2nd half when the offense couldn't do jack horsefeathers

Justin is maybe a notch below average, but your receivers have to catch the ball

Kmet and Moore can be counted on.  That’s not enough.

Give me a combo of Williams/Maye and Harrison/Nabers with a new staff.

I would obviously love to have #1 overall, but I'm not entirely sold on Williams being a better NFL QB than Maye, so I wouldn't be incredibly upset if the Panthers pick falls to #2.  Now if it somehow drops to 3, that's an absolute disaster.

I wonder how the front office feels if Mooney comes up with the TD there. You win...but Fields looks pretty blah and the coaching almost conspired to lose the game. Lol.

I guess it's not a dilemma though, in this universe.

Just saw Dak get a late hit call that wasn’t as bad a hit as the one on Fields that wasn’t called.  This is a pattern.

Just don't understand what's going on, opposing defenders are head hunting Fields, looking to hurt him.  All this going on right in front of those horsefeathers zebra's faces and yet, they just keep those flags in their pockets.

That's three losses this season when the Bears had greater than a 90% win probability in the 4th quarter.

I don't give a horsefeathers how much Eberflus has kept them together or earned his players respect.  Fact is he's a terrible at coaching, this game alone is evidence, why weren't they coming at Flacco with bliztes on every down?  Flacco can't move, he's a statue out there, I'd take my chances getting him before he throws the ball.

The play that clinched the game for Cleveland came on a blitz.

That all out blitz on 3rd and 15 reminded me to much of the one against the Packers to blow the playoffs in 2013

Especially when the front four was pressuring all game. An all-out blitz was the only way they get that first down.

For me... the needle had been moving in favor of keeping Eberflus. He just buried the needle to fire him at season's end.

The browns final drive got into field goal range after a long gain when we blitzed on 3rd and 15

Didn’t see any of this one but sounds like fields really clarified the future.

the nightmare scenario of poles trading up for a qb and ebeflus returning is still in play, but hope that goes away soon.

I cant imagine them trading up for a QB. They either have the 1 or 2 or they keep Fields would be my guess

They’re gonna have at worst the #2 overall… where are they gonna trade up to? Last years draft?

If you want to really look at the schedule pessimistically, the Panthers could go 2-1 in their remaining games (with the most likely wins coming against Green Bay and Tampa), and the Patriots, Cardinals, and Commanders could all lose out. That would result in a tie for #3 between the Panthers and Commanders, and right now the Commanders hold a slight SOS advantage.  In other words, it is still conceivable the Panthers pick could fall to #4, although it is much more likely to be 1 or 2.
