Of course Nico strikes out swinging at a pitch in the same area as the terrible strike call

Diaz is going right to that spot over and over now that the ump gave him that call.

7 straight sliders

This game pisses me off so much. Extremely winnable and they likely win if Morel hits it 2 feet harder or their highest paid pitcher doesn’t get lit up for the 7th straight start.

but mostly it feels good to care enough to get angry again

Is this right?  The cubs are 25-40 against teams above .500 and 28-13 against teams under .500?  I knew the cubs struggled against good teams but I didn’t think it was that bad

5 of Seiya's 8 HR came in a 9 day span between 5/14-5/23. Just an absolutely abysmal season at the plate.

Hes hit 2 HR's in 2 months....

For your starting RF I cant even begin comprehend how pathetic that is.

I don;t even think JHey had droughts like that.

I don't know, but if true, that is an interesting stat seeing they have played 65 games against teams over .500 compared to only 41 games against teams under.

Yeah it's right. They really horsefeathers the bed against the Phillies, Angels, and the Marlins. They should've won a few of those, would've been closer to a respectable win%

I think we may have hyped ourselves up as buyers at the wrong time.

Then again, there's 3 more games in the series.

I think everyone hoping to stay afloat til after the Braves series and then feed on the bad teams after that series

Let’s not overreact to 2 losses, one with the offense having an off day that they were overdue for and the next by 1 run to the first place team.

it’s not ideal but not ready to regret any decisions based on 2 games. They have played 106 games and won half of them but have a RD that suggests they have played like a team 10 games over.
