It's kinda to the point that I almost think Darvish ever being good was some kind of elaborate urban legend. Why would anyone ever swing at this fartknocker's fartknockery.

I mean he’s the all time leader in K/9 so a lot of people believe the legend.

Or maybe it's some kind of deep cover Make-a-Wish deal, and he's just defied the odds.

Last year Chatwood had an 8.2 BB/9

This year Darvish is currently at 7.7

It's really all about command for Darvish. My hope that its related to missing almost a year with an injury and is shaking the rest off is disappearing with each outing.

Hey all, I've got this radical new idea and I'm testing it with people:

Throw Yu Darvish into the sun

There are several others that should be jettisoned into the sun before Yu.

Real facts: Is there any reason to swing at a Darvish pitch right now? Just stand there and see if he can get 3 strikes before he throws 4 balls. (He can't)

I know I just argued on the other page that there's no reason for the Cubs to not keep starting him if he's healthy, especially with how well everyone is playing...and that's true...but my god, I can think of few players that have been more infuriating to watch. I swear he racks up these strikeouts through sheer dumb luck, because those AB's look pretty much as terrible for him as the ones where he walks someone. If I didn't have my blood pressure under control, he would probably make me stroke out. Edited by Sammy Sofa

Just about 70 pitches through 3. I'm about ready to see what Clifton can do.

I'm pretty sure the corpse of Andy Kaufman as Tony Clifton would walk fewer guys.

if the cubs were facing a major league team, they would be losing by 8 runs.

I was all doom-bonered up to see the box score after readying about how terrible Darvish is. Was not expecting a no-hit shutout through 3.

This is like waking up from a 3 year coma, hearing about everything that has happened, and then going with, "boy, I was not expecting to see that the economy was doing so well!" as your main takeaway.
