fwiw i'm pretty sure he just really thinks maddon and baker are horrific in game managers

he was on the score today and was just going on and on about all the bad decisions they've made

This series is set up so perfectly for the Dodgers to blow it. Objectively speaking, they've been handed this thing on a horsefeathering platter. We feasibly could have finished that series Tuesday and would have been chillin for the last few days but instead had that pushed back 2 days and lost another half day due to the flight situation and our pitching staff may or may not be hanging by a thread now. It all aligns for L.A. to finally chase their own ghosts.

But horsefeathers that. We're gonna curbstomp these guys. I think that flight will serve as a little bit of a galvanizing moment. They're embracing the role of underdog and know precisely the pressure the Doyers are dealing with. The Cubs can relax. They're not expected to have much of a shot. I feel like that's an advantage in itself and being that we're also the defending horsefeathering champs that beat their asses a year ago that is a triple whammy for the poor souls at Chavez Ravine.

I'm confident in the plan we've put together. We dismantled the Nats and we're gonna embarrass those laggards.

I cannot wait. Being in the NLCS again feels sooo good. This team is fun. Waiting a lifetime for the Cubs to be the large market consistently good franchise they've always had the potential to be, and seeing it, is pure joy. Win or lose.

Now, let's crush these [expletive] and get back to the WS!

So Dave Roberts is a good tactician now?

I listened to the Score yesterday for the first time in like, forever. And they were interviewing this guy, and he just really doesn't think Maddon is any good tactically. He basically thinks that Maddon makes awful decisions that work out, and that Dave Roberts out managed him last year. Spiegel and Parkins were definitely getting on him about this opinion, even though Parkins and Mccullough are long time buddies.

Took this picture last night. Let's do it again in a few days!

how'd she sneak that contraband in?!

My friend brought his W flag to the game in a backpack. There were quite a few people there with them.

For the first time since 2015 they are significant underdogs.

Vegas odds before the season on them winning the World Series was 3-1. Now the cubs are 9-2. Think about that. They enter the somewhat random MLB playoffs, make the final 4, outlasting teams like the Indians and Nats. And their odds got worse. The Yankees, the worst team on paper in my mind, had better odds before last nights loss. The team that relies on Didi gregorius to produce its offense.

For once they are undervalued on vegas. Possibly for the first time ever. I’d bet if I were a gambler.

lol, I just realized that tweet is in direct response to Hendricks hitting and pitching the 4th

I didn't like the non-move at the time but it was a fantastic decision considering they needed 7 outs out of Wade Davis.

Starters going more than 2 innings is the new market inefficiency.

The pen will need a lot of help but that is a very strong team already.

btw - the only players we lose from that list for 2019 are Rondon and Wilson. We're going to the NLCS that year, too. With Harper on our team.

I get the feeling Rondon won't be back next season.

Cracks me up that our entire slate of position players (other than Zobrist) is under control until 2022. Everybody. That's nuts.

Just get Otani and another SP this year. Sign Harper after 2018 and make Heyward a part time player. Restock the pen each year. That's really it for the next five freaking years.

Needs a lot of pitching. I mean, you always need a lot of pitching because lol pitchers. But they need to spend the offseason loading up on as much pitching as they can get their hands on.

More rumblings that Quintana is going tonight, but for some reason I really want Lackey to start. He seemed to get stronger as the season went on (2.51 ERA in Sept), and knowing it's almost definitely his last ever start we'd get ultimate red-assed Lackey. Let the wild donkey-faced horsefeathers give the last his stupid old arm has to give.

I want a super bullpen pretty badly. I dont know how we're gonna do it, assuming we're letting Davis walk, but these playoff games would be a lot less stressful if I could count on smooth sailing in the 7th-9th. Im still a little upset that we didnt get Doolittle tbh.
