Cubs trade Eloy, Cease, others for Quintana

Over the past three years, Quintana and Lester have basically been the same guy. Lester has gotten a few more strikeouts, but he’s also been in the National League, and Quintana has suppressed more home runs. I really can't see how anyone doesn't love this. Sets us up so well heading into the offseason. My guess is we'll probably buy a high end guy, instead of trading for another one.

 

The deadline probably turns into us looking for a C, maybe a CF, maybe a LHRP.

 

The true question I've got, is who falls out of the rotation? You've got Lester, Quintana, Arrieta, Hendricks.....Butler falls out.

 

But, its going to be fucked up if Lackey is the 5th and not Montgomery......

 

Just keep Lackey on the DL for a while. Or use a 6 man, because I doubt they'll take him out of the rotation.
