CHICAGO -- Chicago Cubs Kyle Schwarber is letting us all in to his mindset before returning to the lineup for the World Series.

 

Schwarber spoke at a special Q & A session put on by Nike Chicago Monday night.

 

He talked about the work he had to do before getting the green light to return. And how that "green light" came in the form of a text from Theo Epstein.

Basically the only thing this season missed was a full season of Schwarber hitting fat dongers the whole time, and he even got a little cameo appearance on the biggest stage. Maybe up to #1 on my list of things to look forward to next season is a full season of Schwarbs.

I've always been high on him. But I'm really excited to see him next year. I think he proves all the doubters wrong and puts up a huge season offensively. I think he can certainly be one of the top 10 bats in the league. There are some holes he needs to fix in his swing. But I think he will. I'm drooling at thought of him being in the lineup with Bryzzo.
