I was wincing non-stop when Collins kept him out there for a ~50 pitch inning vs the Cubs earlier this year.

Matt Harvey got rocked in his first start since June. Threw 70 pitches in 2 innings and gave up 7 runs.

i generally feel bad for pitchers who are hurt because it must just suck knowing you could explode at any moment

Not as bad as it used to be and this isn't a full tear, but it's still not going to be an easy road back, especially since the rotator cuff is torn as well. I'd bet he misses most if not all of next year.
