I don't believe she denied the allegations. She didn't participate in MLB's investigation. I don't like the term "cooperate" since it heaps so much blame/responsibility upon the victim. True. Sometimes the victims are wary to come forward. Although, she didn't confirm the allegations either which put the Cubs in a tough situation to do anything of consequence, which I don't view as "failing" to act. As I said before, this his a whole different scenario.

This. Ricketts, Theo, and Jed don't seem like the kind of guys who will sit on their hands and let this one play out. He needs to be gone until this is investigated and let the dust settle where it may. ..they don't? this was a big story last spring, they looked into it & assuredly learned much of, if not all of what Melisa just shared and decided to stay the course with him; they've already failed the test Because his wife decided to not cooperate with the investigation and didn't confirm the abuse. Were the Cubs supposed to dump him over a tweet from one of his wife's friends claiming abuse? There wasn't any proof and both parties were denying the allegations last year. This new revelation is a whole diffent scenario, it's coming directly from his wife.

Well the good news is the pitching staff looks ready for October. Hopefully we can add a healthy Morrow and Strop by then too. Gotta think you can't keep an offense like the Cubs down for too long.

Been happening a lot lately. According to the DirecTV website that is all that is scheduled for today. No Cubs channel. Unfortunately Thom must be doing the NFL today. Love listening to him whine about the Cubs and their fans.

Anyone know why Direct TV doesn't have the Cubs broadcast today? The Reds broadcast is the only one availible.

Can't he develop a "shoulder issue" which forces him to the 60 day? He can take the rest of the year off and maybe Hickey can salvage something out of him next spring. yeah because hickey has worked such magic with the rest of the staff When I said "maybe salvage something", wasn't necessarily a ringing endorsment. :wink:
