I’m gonna be disappointed if no Cubs kneel for the anthem.

I think it's a pretty safe bet that Hayward will. I"m hoping Rizzo will too. I'm guessing there no chance Bryant or Lester will kneel.

Just for fun, this is where the Cubs finished in these same FG projections before 2016:

C: 14th

1B: 2nd

2B: 4th

3B: 3rd

SS: 8th

LF: 7th

CF: 17th

RF: 4th

SP: 3rd

RP: 8th

I miss having an endless supply of Cubs porn to view

Reading Keith Law’s blurb about the Cubs in his MLB predictions in the Athletic (he has the Cubs tied w Mets for the 2 WC spots, 1 GB the Reds in the NLC) and this is what he had to say about them:

The Cubs didn’t really upgrade their roster this winter, treading water as their rivals tried to improve, but the Ricketts family is so poor that we can all understand their predicament.

I remember most of Cubs internet fandom being convinced that Hill could not be the PTBNL because of some rule about having played in the same league as Ramirez that year or something.

And then being pissed when it was him because he was an OBP machine in the making while Ramirez was at like .315 career, proving once again that Jim Hendry would never understand moneyball and the Cubs were doomed without a SABR front office

Definitely one of the best trades in Cubs history.

Jose was my favorite Cub at the time, but even back then it was obviously an awesome trade.

Jose Hernandez was your favorite Cubs player on a team that had Sammy Sosa, Mark Prior, Kerry Wood, good CPatt, Big Z, etc?

I mean, your favorite could be whoever but that's weird as hell lol

He was the strikeout king before striking out was cool.

I always like some weirdo for arbitrary reasons unrelated to WAR.

He was also only on the team for like 1 month.

I saw that story pop up on Reddit last week and it was too depressing to even consider linking it here. Was almost relieved I didn't see it brought up until now. Just horrifying.

You're only off by about 4 years, but who's counting.

He was on the '03 Cubs for one month. He was your favorite Cub in '03 because of what he did in 1996?
