For selfish reasons, I'm hoping for one rain out over the next couple of weeks. That would get me an Arrieta start when I'm at the game 6/18 instead of a Lester start (which wouldn't be a bad consolation prize)

Heh, yep. Same game for me, and same thought process.

I'm going to Cubs-Phillies on Monday. A rainout before then would help both our causes!

I actually went to a Cubs-Phillies game last year too that Arrieta was slated to pitch and it got rained out. I'm due a make-up.

I was rooting for the same thing before the Giants series, then thought that was crazy because Lester had been great all season. And of course Lester had his one bad start when I was present.

Rainout allowed me to see Jake throw in Pittsburgh last month. Good luck!

I was looking at the starting rotation's stats after the game and noticed Lackey has the worst ERA of the starters... At 2.88. I know ERA is a flawed stat, but that's still ridiculous, right?

Right.

Also, Lester and Hammel are the only two with a whip over 1 (1.019 and 1.116).

Also excellent (in case you were curious).

The Cubs are 7+ games better than every division leader.

Believe they are only 5 games up on the Giants and 6 on the Nats

Apologies if this was discussed elsewhere but is there anything more perfect than the fact that Trevor Cahill's nickname for the back of his jumpsuit for the upcoming road trip is "Trevor"

"Travis" would have been better
