i liked daddison's answer

"My hands are too good," Russell said with a smile. "I just like the feeling of not having anything there. I'm not comfortable with the cup. I'm pretty confident in my picking ability."

Cubs are 34-14 after 48 games

in 2015, they won their 34th game on June 16 (34-27, game 61)

In 2015, they reached 20 games over .500 on August 23 (71-51, game 122)

The Cubs +131 run differential after 48 games is the best in the divisional era, ahead of the 1984 Tigers who were at +112 through 48. It's the fifth best 48-game differential in the World Series era, after the 1929 A's (152), 1939 Yankees (145), 1912 Giants (143) and 1905 Giants (141).

In the wildcard era, the 1998 Yankees are the next best with a +109 differential, while they were 37-11 at this point in the season.

There are currently three teams in baseball with a winning percentage of .600 or better. There's Boston at exactly .600. Then there's SF at .608.

The Cubs are at .708.

Is there a place that shows a running RD count game-to-game for past schedules? I didn't see it on baseball reference. I want to know what game they hit +131 (if ever) last year

EDIT: they ended at +81, so nevermind

I'm a little disappointed the pitching is14th in 4 seam velocity and 10th in two seam velocity. I'll get over it, but looks like an obvious area to get much better pretty easily.

i know, tough pill to swallow

in 2012 we didn't win our 34th game until halfway through july.
