Not to get too far ahead of ourselves, but if we do reach the NLDS tickets for the Friday and Saturday games in St Louis are not insane. Pack that place in blue, please.

Funny you should mention this. I have a Cubs fan coworker with season tickets at Busch that just told me he'd sell me 2 of his bleacher seats for Friday at face value if the Cubs win Wednesday.

JACKPOT!!!!!

They had $13 seats on StubHub and didn't sell out their NLDS games last year.

If I keep clicking on this thread, will it make the game happen any earlier? I don't think my heart is going to be able to handle waiting 2+days.

Sure if you click on it 60 times within the next 60 seconds, you will move 1 minute closer to game time.

And I'll be grateful.

Please win this game and prove that karma exists, Cubs. I know that Pirates have been historically awful until their last few seasons, but [expletive], we deserve it more than they do.

I want nothing more than this game to follow the expected narrative of the better pitcher winning. Please shut them down, Jake. And score 8 in the first three innings so we can daydream ahead to the LDS.

i have decided that i'm probably going to feel like jesse spano hopped up on a bunch of caffeine pills during this game

I certainly won't, but that's because the booze will start flowing down my throat the minute I get home from work. I'll be numb and completely irrational by the end of the game, win or lose.

Also, I'm guessing there's not going to be any finger-wagging for rampantly irrational venting posts in the game thread. ;p

wtf FIVE THIRTY?

Would you have been happier with 12:45? That's the best it was going to be with the west coast game the same day.

Yeah. You're screwed. There's not enough bandwidth to support streaming. Netflix, etc... never works unless it's content already downloaded to your machine.

Unless it's a plane that has DirecTV, in which case that will be the best $8 you'll ever spend.

There's gonna be drunk posting in here for sure. And drunk posting is melodramatic posting. Unless you're David.

I don't know, if I was in that situation and the game was any bit as tense as it should be, I could see myself getting escorted off the plane by air marshalls upon landing.
