Though college is more entertaining.

I just ... how can someone feel this way?

The NBA season takes for [expletive] ever

Yeah, that's the only thing I could think of. College basketball is just such bad basketball. Even the super teams have no clue what they're doing most of the time.

The crowd atmosphere is also about 100 times better in college.

Until the NCAA tournament.

The NCAA tournament is the greatest thing ever, outside of the fact that it's in front of a bunch of fans who don't give a [expletive] who wins. If you could somehow get the home court atmosphere into the Tourney, nothing would beat it

Your also a little spoiled in Oklahoma having Durant. I agree the quality isn't as good, but neither is it in college football. Still would watch that over the NFL any day. The NBA has a ton of flopping and whining and for the most part a lot of hate-able personalities. Since Jordan I just haven't found the NBA to be all that exciting, and my favorite team growing up in South Texas is the Spurs. 15 years of them winning, and still not that interested until the playoffs start.

I'll count this as a good loss. Texas was without their PG and maybe best player and hung on the road.

Zone seemed to give UK problems. Texas will be a load this year.

Jesus. Michigan is losing at home to NJIT by 7 with 9 mins left

NJIT 10-15 from 3 in the game. Several of them off balanced and heavily contested

Oh wow, I'm watching now. 4 point deficit with 2:30 or so left.

NJIT has scored on their last 10-11 possessions in a row. They are literally unstoppable. Shooting 61% from the floor and 70% from 3

Would this be one of the biggest upsets ever? Kenpom has NJIT has 290.

Chaminade/Virginia. Not sure how bad Chaminade was, but Michigan is no 81 'UVA

well that was not fun

can i get some shares of Damon Lynn?

My friend reasoned that UM has 1 WTF loss per season

11: Ohio (in the tourney)

12: winless in B1G Penn State

13: UNC-Charlotte

14: NJIT

of course NJIT is by far the worst and this one was at home. Damn.

Purdue just lost to the mighty Ospreys of North Florida. Jesus what a bad loss. If they end up being a borderline tournament team this game will be why they don't get in.

The NBA is just so uninspiring. The quality of play is better, but there is less parity than ever, and the regular season is just a sleepwalk of a formality. And it isn't just you; the NBA has been steadily slipping in popularity since the "Jordan" era ended. If you put any stock in the Harris Poll, it's at about the same level as NASCAR when it comes to being a focus for the average sports fan. That's a far cry from the mid-late 90s.

I used to love watching NBA games, not just because I was a Bulls fan, but all the games. It seemed like there were more teams that had their own superstar (not a bunch of them ganging up), the personalities were less of a focus, and there was more parity. Now the NBA is almost a cult of personalities, with superteams, self-promotion and drama. It's like the WWE, except somehow more contrived. I have no interest in it whatsoever.

I love college ball because it's so volatile. Sure, you have the same blue bloods who are always in it, but cinderellas come and go, and you never quite know how new batches of recruits for various teams are going to jell (or not). It's just more fun and unpredictable, imo. And March Madness is just the best.

This is so dumb: http://www.si.com/college-basketball/2014/12/06/madison-square-garden-hosts-big-ten-tournament-2018

Big Ten tournament will be in MSG in '18 but will be hosted a week early and end 7 days before Selection Sunday. Meaning you could get bounced in the quarters and have 2 full weeks between that and your 1st round NCAA game.

I could be wrong but didn't one of the mid-majors who have their conference tournament early schedule a non-conference game AFTER their tournament? I want to say it was a Midwestern team and they were on the bubble for an at large bid at the time

St. Mary's did it. Patty Mills had a hand injury and they were trying to showcase their team with him healthy.
