Nice to see Iowa bounce back from a not that great trip to New York. I think a win over Pepperdine could end up a decent win. At least a top-100 win.

this KU team is...not very good.

I know they got blown out by UK last week but what tonight made you say this? I assumed they lost again, but then checked to see they won a game by 27 points after outscoring their opponent 51-22 in the first half.

I admit I only saw the second half, but they're very sloppy defensively, especially in the post. They're small down low. They look confused offensively and defensively, which should be expected I guess when you're playing so much youth. They give up too many easy baskets. They put up too many tough shots. And sure, they outplayed Rider (Rider) in the first half. They also got outscored by Rider in the second. We were basically even on the boards. And most worrisome, a guy who's supposed to be one of our best players (Selden) has yet to really show up, especially from a scoring perspective.

I think Texas will win the Big 12, personally. Maybe ISU. I don;t know how we stop Ridley and Turner in the post.

I think it's going to be a long year for Mizzou.

Yeah mizzou is Rutgers bad. Still an outside shot at a top half finish in the SEC though.

its ok though we hired a true son doesnt matter if you win or lose games as long as you hire someone who wants to be there

They had him mic'd up and he thanked Painter for not taking the Mizzou job lol

Early Big Ten thoughts:

1. Wisconsin

2-11. WHO KNOWS

12-13. PSU-NW

14. Rutgers

This is pretty accurate, but I'm not yet convinced Wisconsin is that much better than most others in the upper group.

So much scoring. They'll have problems against big teams, thoigh.

Last night was the first chance I"ve had to see UI. Was impressed with Hill. Hopefully the team-wide outside shooting strength is not a fluke. Obviously post play is the big concern. The team may be sweet 16 good if Egwu's foul problems are under control.
