Rutgers' first two B1G games are home vs Northwestern and Penn State. They win both of those games, and they probably finish 2-16.

can't believe iowa st bball is to the point where they lose TWO first team all conference players and i still think they are better this year. also can't believe that they had TWO first team all conference players...

Let me just say that I love Caris Levert and I think he's primed to take a leap, but I'm surprised at how much the national media has picked up on it. #9 player in college basketball ahead of guys like Aaron Harrison, Selden, Tyus Jones, Staten and Moore?

 

Not bad for a lightly regarded 3* guy out of high school

it would have seemed outrageous to put Burke or Stauskas in preseason top-10s, but we know what happened with their development, so might as well get ahead of the curve to look more prescient

 

they're basically hyping Beilein, but you can't very well put his face in a list of best players

Maybe I didn't watch enough Louisville last year, but I would've counted a lot higher than 2 before deciding where to put Harrell in a top player list.

I just want Iowa to make the regular tournament (no play-in game) and have no weird end of season collapse. I'm going to be very cautious about getting too emotionally invested into this season.

I'm surprised Dekker isn't higher since he's inside the top 20 on most mock drafts and he had an awesome summer at the Durant/Lebron camps by a lot of reports. Though I do think that the criticism of him in that ranking is spot on. Also I think Nigel Hayes could be a easy top 100 player by the end of the year for Wisconsin

I wouldn't be surprised if KU's offer was contingent upon him reclassifying. They have a PG anyways for the forseeable future. Illinois seems to be the logical landing place for unlimited immediate playing time.

 

He DOES have a UCLA offer, but I'd be surprised to see him return to California.

Definitely, there's no one who can compete with their size and depth.

 

I'm actually looking forward to Illinois, their backcourt is one of the best. Egwu is the one though. They'll likely end up being a 5 seed and sweet 16.

Egwu is so good on defense. If he can just give us any offense I really think we could make an elite eight type run.

So once again BTN is doing exhibition games and some of the early non-conference games on BTN Digital. BTN Digital is NOT part of the BTN2GO package and requires an additional monthly subscription. It's like $10 and then you have to cancel it after a month which can be a pain with their stupid auto-bill. Does anyone know if you can find streams for those on First Row Sports?

IU's Devin Davis in 'serious' condition after being hit by a car driven by teammate Emmitt Holt. Sounds like drinking was involved but it's only mentioned because they're both minors. Nowhere near being over the legal limit.
