It appears Purdue has added Jon Octeus, a 5th year transfer from Colorado State. He was going to play at UCLA but couldn't gain clearance for some reason - but did at Purdue? Plus he's already missed a good chunk of the academic calendar but is going to play right away. Seems odd. Anyway, looks like he put up ok numbers as the starting at PG for CSU last year and Purdue was extremely thin at guard.

when old people get pneumonia it's usually pretty serious. i was thinking it was related to heart issues, maybe congestive heart failure or something.

My girlfriends GMa got pneumonia and died but she was 91. He was only 59.

My FIL died last year of pneumonia after getting a lung removed. He smoked for 43 or so years. He was 59.

Apparently, yes. Texas Tech is building a hell of a class so their coach can get a new job.

Odd we lead the entire time, accruing to Elijah, then he decided on a really bad basketball school at the last second. He must be pretty good friends with Gilder I guess.

He is. Supposedly he helped get Gilder to commit to A&M last week. We offered Elijah back when he was in 8th grade and College Station is only a 2.5-3 hour drive from Dallas so his parents can see him play whenever they want. Our recruiting class is shockingly great right now. I can't quite figure it out. If I didn't know any better I'd swear we were shelling out some cash. And I don't say that because I think my school is squeaky clean but because I don't think enough big money donors care enough about basketball to pay for recruits. Assistant Kyle Keller is known as a great recruiter and last year we signed Avery Johnson Jr. That kid is like the blue chip whisperer. I don't expect him to get much PT but everyone seems to follow him.
