No Lenin mention in the opening ceremonies, it's sad how a country has to just deny the smartest people that ever lived are actually from there.

Salisbury just wasn't that good at hockey 20 years ago as I remember it.

Looking it up, they just won three of the last 8 D1 regionals after never winning one and being D2 23+ years ago, so they're definitely much better now. That doesn't sound so bad.

Has anyone found curling on TV yet?

It's on from 2-4 am on NBCSN tonight. On DirecTV there's a feature on NBCSN that let's you look at upcoming events and medals counts. Kind of cool.

I don't know about Olympic-level women's hockey, but the gap in athleticism and skill between boys and girls in high school hockey is larger than in any other sports I've covered.

The talent pool for womens hockey has to be very limited. I was an ok high school runner and id have a couple gold medals if I only had a vag. I would also take 4 guys from gym and win the WNBA championship.

Watched the US women lose before work this morning on CNBC or NBC Sports, I forget which.

Conditions were obviously horrible on that half-pipe. Even I can see it. Overall these games have been pretty much terrible, from empty seats to mediocre opening ceremonies, to subpar conditions.

I-Pod did a YOLO on the halfpipe...

Who and what the [expletive] is that?

Commentators described it as more or less Shaun White's signature move (Corky McTwist 1260 or whatever it was) plus a revolution.
