College Basketball 2013-2014

While I love what John Groce has done with recruiting so far, this weekend is the biggest for Illinois since Eric Gordon was on campus. That one didn't turn out so well. Hopefully he can make this a tough decision for Cliff. If he could win this recruitment I really think we are set up well to clean house on the '15 class. Fingers crossed.

 

heard from someone who is fairly well connected that cliff is pretty much a lock for kansas, but the illinois loyalty insider types still seem confident, so who knows.

I thought he was a KU lock, but it sounds like his mom doesn't want him that far from home, the insiders lately are saying now it's even. I still think self and KU wins out.

I think Devin Robinson is probably choosing IU. I don't even know if Lyles still has IU on his radar. Blackmon, I have some slight hope for. Reminds me some of Gary Harris. Really would be what this team needs. A great shooter on the wing to go with all the slashers.

I don't follow 247 at all but I thought his recruitment has been pretty quiet and close-to-the-chest, from what I've heard. But he's been at Mizzou the last two weekends so I guess that's where our hope comes from.

Robinson would have been nice, don't get me wrong. If there was a time for a small incoming class though it is this one. Keeps more options open for the 2015 kids.

 

I have no hope for Blackmon tomorrow. Lyle eventually joining this class looks more likely by the day.

Really? This sort of implies that you are both 80% or so on Cliff to UI. I wish I could be on board with that but I just can't be. I'm thinking 50/50 at best, but not holding my breath.
