Aggrey Sam @CSNBullsInsider 3m

For those Scal fans out there, looks like he could be back in Chicago this winter...as a coach.

Sources tell me Scal is close to joining Thibs' staff. He'd replace Rick Brunson (TU), who is now in Charlotte.

Awesome

I might be the only person who never cared for Scalabrine that much. The whole glorification of the awkward white player/victory cigar was ripped off directly from Boston and IMO was dumb to begin with. Just my (rather unpopular) opinion.

The way Thibs brought him over from Boston and kept him around for little reason, I always imagined that he was destined to be on a Thibs coaching staff when he gave up his "playing" career.

Scal turned the job down. Instead he's going to be a color analyst for CSN New England.

"Saying no to Thibs was the hardest decision I've ever had to make," Scalabrine told Yahoo Sports.

I know that this is stupid, but it seriously puts a smile on my face whenever I read about MJ and Pip hanging out together. I've heard quite a few "Pippen and Jordan weren't/aren't very close off the court" stories and they always made me sad. While I don't think they are the best of friends obviously catching a basketball game together like they did a few years ago, and MJ surprising Pip at his birthday party show that there is a level of friendship between them.

And most importantly, who the [expletive] won the dance off?

Scottie Pippen's birthday was on Monday. (Happy belated birthday, Scottie Pippen!) He and his wife celebrated at a Chicago club, along with Antoine Walker, Ahmad Rashad, Nazr Mohammed and Michael Jordan. More importantly, it appears that the party ended with Pippen and Jordan engaging in a friendly dance competition.

Deadspin almost certainly nailed it on the head:

There's no way Jordan gave up until everyone crowned him "His Danceness" and all of the fun had been sucked out of the room, right?

And of course one of the commenters also hits it on the head:

Antoine Walker: ♬ Happy birthday to you ♬

♬ Happy birthday to you ♬

♬ Happy birthday dear Scottieeee ♬

♬ Happy bir--

Isn't the prevalent rumor that Scottie helped get Jordan hooked on white women and away from his wife?
