In football you don't have to sit out a year if you transfer out of conference. Not sure how basketball is.

You got it backwards. I you transfer down to 1AA you don't have to sit out a year, or if you have finished undergrad and are taking grad school classes at the new college. Some times the NCAA will approve a waiver for family medical issues.

Yeah, Sam McLauren is in that situation with Illinois. He graduated from Coastal Carolina and transferred to Illinois for grad school. He had one remaining year of eligibility and was able to start right away. I believe they had a preferred walk-on that transferred from Chicago State, or something too and was able to play right away. I'd have to look that up, though.

Edit: Kevin Berardini played at Loyola Marymount, but redshirted his freshman year and transferred to Illinois before his sophomore year. He retained all 4 years of eligibility.

Calipari has proven that having the best players doesn't mean squat if they don't play as a team.

like when he won the championship last year.

What are the free streaming options today?

Pretty sure CBS does it for free through cbssports.com

I believe each station that happens to be broadcasting the game is where you have to go online. (TBS, TNT, TRUTV)

Im excited about Randle. Itll be interesting if Goodwin starts over one of the Harrison twins. Id start the twins with Young at 3 Randle at 4. Wiltjer will be in Spokane. Harrow is out. Poythress should be benched. I hope WCS comes back. Fwiw, Wiggins could come in and start at the 3 but he will be at fsu. On paper itll be better than the Davis, MKG class. Im glad we had some good newa after this year.

Poythress is gone and I hope Wiggins chooses UK just so they all kill each other.

Nobody cares about your Missouri Tigers but the resounding message from STL media today is that simply making the tournament isn't good enough because look at all those Final Four banners.

And plus the Stewart guy was canned pretty early on when he didn't reach the mountaintop.

Figured this should be in this thread rather than the tournament thread, but Tubby Smith just got fired at Minnesota.

I thought he did a good job at Minnesota. Who are they going to hire that will be any better?

I'm not a big fan of Tubby, but what the hell do the people in Minnesota expect? They've been better since he's been there than they've been since the glory days of Voshon Leonard.

I figured Tubby would leave before Minny would fire him. He's only got two 2013 commits, anyone know anything about Alvin Ellis? I've heard of Alex Foster who was a 4 star at one time I think but didn't develop a whole lot. They're both Chicago kids. Edited by Smack

I dunno, he made the program better but he seems like a coach with a ceiling and he's reached it there. I realize he won a NT at Kentucky, but from that point on it seemed like his teams underachieved. This Minnesota team was talented and I think underachieved, and their annual regular season collapses were disappointing for Gopher fans.
