UK gets #1 recruiting class last year, still loses 1000 games in the garbage SEC, misses the tourney, gets bounced in rd 1 of NIT...and still lands Julius Randle. What a joke.

Even crazier, Kentucky may not be done. The Wildcats are still recruiting Wiggins as well as combo forward Aaron Gordon. Both players are Top 10 prospects nationally

I know a lot of Kentucky's players are gone after this year, but 7+? I thought they had like 3-4 one and done guys?

Is Wiggins going to UK as well?

I don't think so, but who knows. All accounts are he's more mild-mannered, doesn't love spotlight. I think he goes to FSU.

It will be interesting to see what happens if some guys don't want to leave.

Calipari is on the horn with Crean trying to figure out which summer school classes are the toughest.

Be ready to be even more pissed. If you are doing what Cal's doing right now, and we all know what he's doing, you don't stop one short of the perfect class.

Apparently they have 3 open without considering early entrant players. So they would only need 3-5 early entrants.

Poythress is probably out the door, but are Goodwin and Cauley-Stein really NBA-ready?

Noel is gonzo. I'll bet Jon Hood is politely shown some grad school options elsewhere. Wouldn't be shocked if Harrow is asked to leave.

I get the feeling that Calipari would rather recruit and put together McDonald's All-American superteams rather than coach. What is he going to do with three of the top 10 guards, potentially the top two forwards and the top center? It's asinine.

ETA: Marcus Lee fits in there somewhere, too. Where I'm not sure.

I count 13 on the roster with 2 seniors, any walk ons in that group?

Lanter is a walk on. And apparently Polson is a former walk on who had a scholarship this year, so maybe Calipari doesn't intend to renew that for next year?

Edit: Wow. Apparently Kentucky only has 8 players on their roster who started as scholarship players. One of those is one of the seniors, and then of course the four potential early entrants. So there are only 3 starting as scholarship players that are almost certainly coming back next year. Four of their current scholarships are former walk ons, and then of course they have an open scholarship as well. So they have tons of flexibility.

Sounds like Kyle Wiltjer is going to transfer. He's going to make somebody (Gonzaga?) very happy.

Just throwing it out there but I think Oregon makes the most sense.

Not a surprise that it came to this for him.

Wont transfers lose a year of eligibility?

I think so.

Transfers almost always lose a year of eligibility, unless they're grad students...or players released from LOI when coaches are fired....or football players from Penn State..
