Not that it matters, but I read on RealGM that Rose scored 9 points which was apparently 2nd lowest on the team. He never seems to shine in these all star games.

He saves it for the real games.

Kobe with the assist to D. Rose in this exhibition series they're playing in Manila.

Why does it say parental guidance in the upper right hand corner?

Clearly someone thought the alley-oop was just that nasty. "The women and children out of the way!"

I knew someone would immediately say that but I was too lazy to type more on my iphone at the time.

Really nice to read this update from Rotoworld:

Bulls PF Nikola Mirotic averaged 27 points, 10 rebounds and 1.1 3-pointers per game during the U20 European Championships.

Mirotic flat-out dominated as he led Spain to the title. He shot 59.5 percent from the field, 85.1 percent from the line and 40 percent from the land of trey. While the competition wasn't overly stiff, this kid has lottery level talent. He'll be a major prospect for the Bulls as he develops more with Real Madrid.

Heck, with the way things are going, Derrick might have a chance to play with him before the NBA gets back together

"They met us in the Eastern Conference finals, and they were one player away from making it a very, very, very tough series," Wade told ESPNChicago.com during an event for his "Wade's World" charities. "Derrick Rose is evolving into a phenomenal player. You could look and see they're one player away from being there every year."

"It would have to be a player that can take the pressure off him from making every play," Wade said. "As a point guard, when you have to score so much, and have to make every big shot, and have to make all the passes, eventually it takes a toll on you throughout the season, no matter how phenomenal you are.

"So just someone who can come in and take some of that pressure away. That's why I was excited not only to play with my friend but excited to play with a guy like LeBron, because it takes some of that pressure away from having to do it year after year after year. It saves you, your body."

"I was very serious about wanting to play in Chicago," Wade said. "I visualized myself being alongside Derrick Rose many times and Joakim Noah and all those guys many times.

"It didn't happen, but you never know what the outcome would be. Obviously they did a great job."

"I see a lot of things he did, and I look back and say, 'that was me before,' or 'that was LeBron before, that was Kobe [bryant] before.' Michael Jordan did the same thing," Wade said. "A lot of greats go through it.

"Then eventually, they put the teammates around you that can help you, and you get better and you learn that you can't do it all yourself. You start to open a little more and let your teammates do a little more and get them more confident. I see it, yeah."

"Obviously I knew he had so much talent and how athletic he was, but that summer from the [World Championships] to when the season started, he changed his game dramatically," Wade said. "His confidence went to another level and he became a player around the league where everybody was like, 'Oh man, he figured it out. He figured it out early.'

"He became the MVP of the league and he's still the same guy, a phenomenal person and human being. He makes you proud to say you're from Chicago."

I love the Bulls and the NBA was a fun season last year, but I haven't missed it one bit so far. I'm prepared for a full season to be lost.

Yeah, but you're a Packers fan. With the Cubs flaming out (that was obvious) and the Bears (probably) going to have a more disappointing season, I need some bright spot in my sports life, and basketball is a great way to supply that when you have a good team.

Oh and I'm an Illini fan.

It's easy for Wade to heap praise on Rose & Chicago now, after he got what he wanted to secure his place above us.

But, it is nice to hear anyway.

What's the over/under on when we'll see NBA basketball again? I'm not really plugged into it, but it kind of feels like everyone's resigned to a significant outage, if not an outright cancellation of the season.

Wade's pretty good at blowing smoke up Chicago's collective asses, I listened to some of the interview when it aired, whatever.

Like a lot of people have been saying, we may be seeing him in his decline phase anyway, so continue to be a smug dude, we'll see what happens in the next 5-6 years.

I heard on Mad Dog radio that Stern is threatening to cancel the season if progress isn't made this weekend. I don't know if he trying to scare the owners or the players. The players shouldnt really care. Most can get pretty good money overseas. The NBA owners are pretty stupid.

If I point out how wrong this is, do I have to expound? I'm not really interested in that. But it's wrong.

Yes, enlighten me. They won't make NBA money, but that's not the point.
