Also the Bulls have a NINE game road trip starting in late January.

I think the season will get ugly at times, but man, how great will it be that there will be a great game basically every night?

My liver won't stand a chance.

Sam Smith proposes Joakim Noah, Luol Deng and Taj Gibson, the Bulls No. 1 this season and the No. 1 they hold from Charlotte, which based on Charlotte’s roster likely would be an unprotected No. 1 in 2016. for Howard and Brandon Bass.

OK. Don't know who would replace Deng, but wouldn't really care at that point.

And now that I've raised your hopes, this mod on RealGM will crush them for you...posted on Thurs:

I had a meeting with him and his agent and manager for my work (non-basketball related) during the lockout. I spent about an hour with him. Really nice guy.

I'm a huge Bulls fan and dropped the line, "would you rather play 3 seasons with Kobe or the rest of your career with Rose." They all laughed, but Dwight quickly made it clear that he's not a fan of the city of Chicago.

I can't really go into details further than that.

if he's a guy who won't play in a cold weather city, new york is out then too.

It was said elsewhere in the thread that he also doesn't like big cities, but apparently he'll make an exception for LA.

Take him for a quick ride on the 405 Freeway! He'll change his mind.

Also a bit on Brandon Roy:

The Chicago Bulls would be very interested in Roy if he becomes available, but the amnesty rule gives teams that are under the salary cap the first chance to bid on waived players. That means Roy won’t be able to choose his next destination and could end up playing out his contract on a lottery team.

Yeah, I don't see how Roy becomes a Bull. He'd have to be amnestied, and then all of the teams under the salary cap would have to pass on him at the minimum for Chicago to get him (of course, the bidding could go up from there if multiple teams end up wanting him). And if he does pass through all those teams, wouldn't that be a sign that he really has nothing left?

He's retiring. Knees must be really bad.

A few days ago, the word was that blazers brass had seen Roy work out and was not only not going to amnesty him, but they were excited about him being back to the old Roy. I wonder who floated that and why?

the crawford and rip speculation is likely one or the other, not both.

who would you guys rather have? rip would definitely be cheaper.

i still hope we can someone get jrich to take a little less money to come play for a contender. he would be ideal.

The Bulls can only have so many two guards: Bogans Rip, Crawford, Brewer, Corver.

They had Brewer, Bogans and Korver last year. Replace Bogans with someone and you got the same thing. Rip and Crawford both are not an option.

There are reports by a couple of sources that the Bulls are not going after Richardson because using the whole MLE would put the Bulls over the luxury tax. If true, I loathe Reinsdorf.

Its kind of a shame (if true) that Howard would pass up the chance to play with Rose and dominate throughout his prime just because he doesn't like the cold.

It's probably moot because we can't offer as much as other teams can to the Magic anyway.

Regardless if we get something like Crawford/Rip whatever, we'll be much improved anyway. And its almost impossible for Boozer to not have a stronger year next year.

Oh, that sucks.

2 out of your 3 paragraphs are false.

If Dwight will go to New Jersey, it's obviously not about the cold weather. Yeah, all things equal he'd rather play and live in a warm climate (who wouldn't), but if he'll make an exception for the damn Nets, there's something else he doesn't like about coming to the Bulls.

Second, we could easily produce the greatest package of players and assets. Noah, Gibson, Asik, Deng, Mirotic, Bobcats pick, our own pick(s). We have a ton of assets available.

You are right about Rip or whoever being an upgrade and Boozer playing better this year. Hopefully Noah, too. I just hope it's enough to beat an improved Heat team.

Rip to the Bulls is reportedly done deal, just waiting for him to actually clear waivers. 2 year deal. Love the pick up. Its going to be nice having an actual SG on the team.

4 2-guards is till too many isn't it if they keep Bogans?

Eh, I didn't really want Rip Hamilton. He's an OK option, but I would rather have a more versatile player that can put the ball on the floor a little better than Hamilton can.

Agreed. He's better than what the Bulls had but I think they still had a chance to get someone better like Richardson.
