Go South Carolina. Our last hope to see a Non-AQ in the National Title game.

Go Oregon State as well I guess. But I prefer Oregon to Auburn and Oregon State pretty much has no chance to beat Oregon. I guess crazier things have happened and it's a rivalry game but....nah.

Auburn could lose and still play Oregon for the championship.

If both Oregon and Auburn lose, it's a complete disaster for the BCS, and one of the championship teams is going to be TCU then, anyway.

I think TCU is close enough to Oregon and Auburn in the BCS rankings that TCU would get the nod if AU were to lose to South Carolina. TCU is substantially ahead of all of the other 1 loss teams....

Auburn is a 5.5 point favorite over South Carolina presently. Spurrier made a poor decision in benching Garcia in favor of Connor at the end of the first USC-AU game, and there has been no QB controversy since Connor's poor performance at the end of that game. Auburn's d-line held Lattimore in check earlier in the season, and I believe they'll be able to do it again. However, AU will only win this game if their d-line is able to put a lot of pressure on Garcia and causes him to make a couple of mistakes.

Hopefully, Auburn isn't out-coached prior to the game and won't need to make big adjustments, come back from a 24-0 deficit.

I disagree...unless Auburn gets really hammered, I think they will make the Championship game

why do you think the BCS would rate a 1-loss AU team so high? 1-loss Stanford is not close to TCU in the current rankings. I believe a one loss Auburn team falls behind Stanford and maybe even Wisconsin and Ohio St. in the Coaches poll...the computer polls could bail out AU I suppose.

I think that there will be a lot of propaganda to re-examine TCU's schedule, along with the normal amount of SEC schools having a different standard for rankings, I think it is quite possible that Auburn would only fall to 3 in the polls. Combine that with the computers, Auburn stays in the NT game. Just my guess.

Stewart Mandel's bowl projections has Iowa falling all the way to the Insight Bowl to play Mizzou while Michigan would get selected to the Gator bowl to play the last team they faced in a bowl game, Florida. Yay that's actually a team that Michigan would have a slight chance of beating.

He said that's based on some of the whispers he's hearing. But it's more talk of strong possibility, not even rumors of what will happen.

Penn State had 1,000 unsold tickets from its allotment at the Capital One bowl last year, which doesn't help them. But while Iowa exceeded their allotment by quite a bit last year, they were just at the Outback Bowl 2 years ago. It'd be an interesting move.

I've made my peace with OU this year, we beat them, and so it looks better for us if they keep winning. OU by 40 plz.

I'm hoping to go to Detroit (yes, really) on Friday night. NIU is 15 point favorites against a Miami Ohio team that has significantly overachieved this season. This is probably the best NIU team since the Michael Turner year in 2003 when they started out 6-0 and ultimately wound up finishing 10-2.

It's looking like NIU will make a return trip to Detroit for the Little Caesars Pizza Bowl. Hopefully they don't end up getting stuck playing some Sun Belt school.

Unless you are assuming they only drop to #2 after a loss to SC then I don't see how that would happen. I would expect them to drop at least behind Stanford and probably Wisconsin in both the Harris and USA polls, and at that point it would not matter what the computers were thinking.

I think LSU losing made it more likely that Auburn drops out. If LSU had won, they'd be No. 4 and then a bunch of poll voters would have rightly kept Auburn ahead of LSU because Auburn won head-to-head. That means Auburn would have likely stayed at No. 3. But I think with a loss, they'll drop behind at least one of the other one-loss teams.

Hopefully Zac Dysert will be back, but ultimately it will come down to Miami's defense. Outside of the Missouri and Cincinnati debacles, our defense has been pretty good.

will gameday be there?

Not unless they moved the game to Wrigley. I hear you people don't care about football in the south.
